This video is an experimental documentary of the first Night of Ideas in Durham, North Carolina, USA. The event was organized by The Center for French and Francophone Studies and the Franklin Humanities Institute at Duke University. It was held at Durham County Main Library. Titled “The Shadows Are All Mine”, Night of Ideas was a marathon of arts and ideas for members of the extended Durham community to address environmental, technological, and political challenges to social justice and exploring the limits of urbanity and urban metabolisms, in a call to repopulate liminal spaces of thought.
