Near the Civilization

Near the Civilization is a single-channel silent video created at ACCENTRICSPACE artist residency. It traces the artificial illuminations at Zhujiajiao 朱家角, an ancient water town where the residency is located. Lasers, ambient colored lights, and their reflections reveal how modern tourism intrudes upon and reshapes an ancient environment.
