A Giant Cleaning Machine 巨大的清洁机器

How does a factory that once produced sanitary ware define its own cleanliness and hygiene after being abandoned? As a system of standards and values shaped by human production, how does the concept of “clean” persist at an industrial scale beyond human presence?
A Giant Cleaning Machine was developed during the residency organized by DP Lab and Axis at T2M. Through a series of cleaning performances and moving images, the work re-enters the interior and microscopic world of an abandoned sanitary ware factory, tracing another form of order that emerges when cleanliness no longer serves human needs. The dirt and dust accumulated over time are also preserved as the site’s own archive, imagining “cleanliness” in a post-human world.
